Last week I spend time on a project of creating a POC environment for a customer with win2k8r2 and xenapp6.0 on top of it. Like alway I update the windows servers fully before installing aditional software. While installing Xenapp on it and aditional software I reran windows update and received .net4.0 through my updates and installed them not thinking it could break something.

In the mailing list from gpoguy a need url apeared posted by Scott Klassen. Scot read on a blog about the people who are behind http://gps.cloudapp.net/ and decided to post it on the mailinglist. Well I wanted to share it also with you cause although this is a RC it saves you a lot of time cause it not only can search your policies but also the registrysettings that come with it. thumbs up for this nifty tool

Res Powerfuse anounced the release of SR8. You need a valid SA agreement to download the SR8. We didn't read the changelog yet but it looks promising cause again they made some major changes and fixed many issues. http://support.ressoftware.com/Modules/Authentication/Login.aspx > login with your customerid and password and get the upgrade package.

On a blogpost in the citrix comunity a nice anouncement was made. Microsoft changes the VECD licensing and this can pull some company's over the edge towards VDI implementation. If a company already has a SA agreement then they no longer have to pay extra for VECD licensing! It's been a while since I last posted. Currently I am busy learning all kinds of new stuf like exchange2010, Windows server 2008r2 and didn't have much time to post. I follow a few people from Res Powerfuse and the twitter anounced that Res Powerfuse 2010 is now available! this means new goodies, improvements and ofcourse bugs :) but with the excelent support from Res Powerfuse that shouldn't be a big problem. Tech preview Xenapp for Windows 2008 R2 is available |

Today I received like many others a e-mail from Citrix with the anouncement that the technological preview of Xenapp for Windows Server 2008 R2 is available. The full version will become available Q2 of 2010 as far as I have read. The preview is available when you logon to your mycitrix account. And most likely if you subscribed to receive it. I did not play with it yet but will in the comming weeks.
