Reboot your citrix server(s) without criticals in MOM2005Rebooting citrix servers with the reboot schedular or task schedular with a cmd file will (if configured properly) always get a critical notification in the MOM2005 operator console. Imaging you have people monitoring your servers 24 hours a day with MOM2005 because you work in a great environment. Now you decided it's time to reboot your citrix servers on a regular basis but forgot to notify those who monitor the environment. The people monitoring the environment will receive critical notifications that server xx has gone down and is no longer responding to the basic ping test. They will lookup the procedure and call the person who has standby duty. If this happens during evening hours well your lucky because your still awake but what if the reboot is at 4AM in the morning. Marc Klaver wrote a script that will automaticly set the server in maintanence mode in the MOM2005 environment (default 30 minutes). So you will not receive a phone call because the server is nicely set in maintanence mode. This also means all notifications will automaticly set to resolved. After the script is executated the server will be set to normal in MOM2005 again. The script also stops the ima service so users can no longer logon and cleans the printspooler directory. The downloadable executable contains 3 files
Update: The version has been updated to version 110. This prefents the script to excecute after a engineer has doubleclicked on it. You will get a popup see fig 1 that tells you how to start the reboot script. fig 1
