Re:Hide Drives - 2006/05/15 04:18 Hi Thanks,

1. What i really want is only this "Hide TS Drive" GPO work for only when users are connect to TS Server.

2. I need users to logon to my network with default GPO and works as before.

3. I don't want to put all the users into this "Citrix OU". too much work i think

Re:Hide Drives - 2006/05/15 10:20 Cosy,

Then the next step is required.

Create a OU were your citrix / terminal servers reside in. Create a GPO and hide local drives and link it to the OU were your TS/citrix servers reside in. Enable in the gpo the Group Policy Loopback function.

This will get your wanted solution to work. You can find group policy loopback at

computer configurationsystemgroup policy"Use group policy loopback mode ((enable/disable) (,option 1 merge option 2 replace))
If you choose replace mind that all policies will be replaced.

Hope this helps.

You can download a paper that describes how Loopback Group Policy processing works here

Re:Hide Drives - 2006/05/16 07:38 Deny read access to administrator group on the GPO you set to hide the drives. That way the administrators will not get the gpo when they logon to the terminal server(s) GPO adicted
