Help required with Secure Gateway - 2006/10/08 15:59 I've followed the excellent guide on this forum about SG. Now I have a couple of issues that are driving me mad.

I am wanting people externally to enter https://xxxxxxx.xxxxx.org.uk/citrix/metaframe to be given their published applications. Now when I enter that address I get the WI page and a list of apps available, if I click on one though the 'connection in progress' takes ages and I get an error "Cannot connect to the Citrix MetaFrame Server. There is no Citrix Metaframe server configured on the specified address.".

So I saved the launch.ica file and had a look, and right enough the ip it is trying to connect to is an internal LAN address, if I substitue this for the address of my certificate or external IP then it does launch the app o.k. But further down in the .ica it says that SSL=off!

To add to my confusion if I try to connect to http://xxxxxx.xxxxx.org.uk/citrix/metaframe the apps launch o.k. and if I save and examine the launch.ica the address is a long string of alphanumerics and then a bit futher down it goes on about a ssl proxy host which is listed as my external certificate on port 443 and SSL=on...

What am I doing wrong it all seems a bit back to front.

Thanks in advance.

Re:Help required with Secure Gateway - 2006/10/09 12:47 A good nights sleep and a fresh perspective seems to have worked wonders!

Needed to set up Secure Gateway alternate. Put in a Translation from my internal to external (note it didn't seem to like the external IP address but did like the FQDN) and then deleted any reference to the internal network from the DMZ settings. I'm only interested in access from the outside world anyway.

Now its all working. A bit early for a beer but I'll get one or two later!

Re:Help required with Secure Gateway - 2006/10/10 08:41 Well sometimes a good night rest can work miracles I agree

Just make sure if you editted any aspx files manually to save it to disk. A automatic repair will set your WI back to the state it was first installed.
