Citrix Login Fails - 1003 and 1004 in registry - 2006/09/12 13:47 User attempts to log on to a Citrix Server via an ICA connection, logon fails returning no specific error. You are able to log on to the server via Remote desktop.

The following errors are reported in the event log:

The terminal server cannot issue a client license.

Description:
The terminal service client '%1' has provided an invalid license.

The following actions need to be taken in order to resolve this issue:
- Log on to the failing server using remote desktop.

- Edit the registry using regedit
Note: Editing the registry can cause irreversible damage to your computer, Datacrash can not be held accountable for any changes made.

-Browse to HKLMSystemCurrent Control SetServicesTermServiceParameters

- Export the Parameters key to a local reg file so that you can restore this if required.

- Delete the following 3 values from the Parameters key:
i. Certificate
ii. X509 Certificate
iii. X509 Certificate ID

- Restart your server

Once the server comes back up you should be able to log on to the Citrix Server without any problems.
