IntroductionThis howto will show you how you can create a Program Neighborhood Agent Services in Citrix Presentation Server 4.0. We used certain standards to implement it and you can offcourse implement your own standards. This howto is a basic guide how you can create a Program Neighborhood Agent Services for MPS4.0 If you haven't created a webinterface yet for MPS4.0 we recommend you read this howto first. Let's begin Open the Citrix Access Suite Console (ASC) and browse to Suite Components\Configuration Tools\Webinterface. Now right click on the Web Interface and select "Create Site".
Now you can choose from the 3 options
We choose the second option here the "Program Neighborhood Agent Services"
If you pres the Next button you will get following figure. You can change the IIS Site and path to the site. But we recommend you keep it as it is for starters.
Press Next button to proceed you will get following figure
This configuration asks if you want to store the configuration localy or get it from a centralized site. We choose the last option and filled in the local server see following figure
Press OK then Next to proceed. If you don't have several servers choose the local server for Failover and pres Next button to proceed.
You will now get the summary. Press Next and the site will be configured.
The last screen will tell you you're done. Press Finish to end the Program Neighborhood Agent Services wizzard. Now you can configure the pn agent site Refresh your Access Suite Console and you will see the PN Agent Services site is created. The reason the Config.xml is grey is because we pressed on it. Now in the right pane you will get the options to configure your pnagent service.
You will have following options to configure
In Other tasks you will get
In Configure Authentication Methods you can configure what options users have to authenticate themselves. Here you can also force them to use a authentication method like "smart cards" etc. In Change session options you can configure 3 session options. 1: Client session size 2: Clients resources 3: workspace control We made printscreens to show you what you can configure
Now you get in Manage Application shortcuts following options.. see the figures.
As you can see we can set various options here that all affect the program neighborhood agent. Go play with the options in your testlab and see what these options do. Well this is about all that is there to tell about the Program Neighborhood Agent Services. Have fun configuring your server.
