Set client file security for your citrix connection Print E-mail

Once you have set the file security settings, when you make a connection to a citrix farm you may start to wonder if it was not better to not deny the read option to your local hard drive(s).

But how to change the settings back. There are some options to change the settings. When you use a PNAgent it is very easy to change settings.

Open your PNAgent by double clicking it, and you will see a simular window like this

Program Neighborhood Connection Center

By clicking the button File Security you can open the configuration window to configure what level of security you want to your local hard drives.

Client File Security

But what if you don't have a PNAgent installed. Well then you need to open the %systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\ICAClient and delete all files and folders in there. This after you closed your citrix connections of course. Now when you connect you will get the question again if you want to set client file security.

There should be more options to acomplish this and when I find them I will update this howto.
