Aquire Access GW license or upgrade to platinum edition? |

Last week I was on a workshop to become CCSP2008. The course went well and we had a interesting talk about when to aquire access gw licenses or when to upgrade to platinum edition.
The platinum edition license holds a license for the access gw. If the majority of the workers login remotely it's worth while to calculate if it's cheaper to upgrade to platinum edition instead of aquiring access gw licenses. The downside to upgrade to platinum edition is that all your licenses need to be upgraded and you can't say I only want to upgrade 100 of the 500 licenses cause then you can't set the level of you citrix farm to platinum edition. I never had a thought about the license structure like this so I guess many of us won't think about it simply cause we are more busy with technical implementations then with the license stuf. |
