Citrix comes soon with new Citrix Desktop Server

Citrix goes virtual?

Last week Citrix anounced a new product line, the Citrix Destkop Server. They will deliver virtual desktops running on HP Blade servers with VMware ESX. This is I believe the next step Citrix is taking in the virtual world.

They already gone streaming with Presentation Server 4.5 and now they go virtual with this new product line. Is it cheaper like they anounce, I really can't tell, because you also have the costs of the licenses for Terminal Server, the concurrent users etc. We are eager to hear from you folks! who are going to implement this new Citrix Desktop Server in there test or production environment. Sharing the expirience might prefent others from making the same mistakes, inventing the wheel again and so on.

Update: They will release it in Q2 of 2007 if all goes well.

I also read the press release. Sounds interesting. I would really like to see the offering in action and get to put it through its paces!

I have been noticed that a lot of wow power leveling comments are pure spam. This of course is not wanted and I have decided that from now on only registerd users can write comments. So if you want to write a comment wow powerleveling and are not registerd yet you have to register. We won't use your email or other stuf for commercial purposes. The main reason we have changed the setting is to get rid of the spam bots that post massive wow goldcomments with all kind of links and unwanted stuf in the comments. I hope you power leveling understand this action cause we are a bit sick of those people who ruine a good post with all kinds of comments.

Well they release it in Q2 this year if all goes well. So I hope from then people will use it in test and production environments and hopefully post results as comments on datacrash.net
