Yesterday 20 may 2008 Citrix released a new Technical Preview. User Profile Manager. In large environments in can become a big task to manage all there is in a profile like cookies, favourites etc.

Citrix released a tool called User Profile Manager to make the life of system engineers more easier. "quote" In a virtualized world, where users can get to their desktops and applications from practically any location or device, you need to leverage “user profile” technology to ensure users get a consistent experience every time. When users log on to their virtual desktop or launch a virtual application, they want to see everything just as they left it, with their own personal settings, shortcuts, toolbars, templates, desktop wallpapers and favorites. The more complex and varied the user access scenarios, the more challenging it becomes for IT to manage these user profiles. "end quote" from the citrix website. You can download the technical preview with your mycitrix account. If you do not have such a account yet, you can make it directly online. The good news , mycitrix account is free of charge :)

We at Datacrash did download this tool but didn't have the time yet to write a article about it or provide screenshots of it. We will do our best however to keep you updated with new techprevies etc as citrix anounces them or that we get inside information that is not NDA!

Thanks Rob to point me to this preview dude.
