Ica clients crashes while connecting to xenapp5.0 |

At a customer of the company were I work we implemented a Xenapp5.0 farm. While the install was smooth except for opening all kind of firewall rules this went well. Now clients were connecting and were crashing emediatly with memory errors.
The problem is reported to citrix but they did not come up with a solution yet. A colega of mine find how ever a article in the microsoft knowledge base. The article kb949914 describes exactly the problem we had. You can read the article here kb949914. Now another problem remains. The icons of the published application won't show anymore and you get a anoying notification that you have to download a client. Another problem is that on Windows server 2008 with Xenapp 5.0 you publish for example notepad.exe it takes up to 2 minutes to get the aplication launched. This has to do with the fact that Windows is loading a full desktop in the background. We don't have a solution found for this problem yet though so suggestions are welcome. |
