Smartcard logon and lsas.exe error with MPS4.0 fixed |

A while ago I logged a case at Citrix and told them when you install RollupPackage02 for Metaframe Presentation server 4.0 you get an lsas.exe error when you logon using a smartcard. After a few mailings and sending dumpfiles, they got back with the answer that the error resides in the rolluppackage02
The file responsibel for letting the server crash on the lsas.exe and then shutdown and reboot within 60 seconds is the scardhook.dll. Citrix send me a new scardhook.dll (privat hotfix) and it worked like a charm. Now we have to wait until they make a public hotfix for this issue. So for all those who are having troubles with smartcard logon and rolluppackage02 there is hope :) There are still enough issues regarding rolluppackage02 but this one is solved also and hopefully Citrix will publish the hotfix soon on there site for download. Citrix thinks the hotfix for the smartcard logon will be public around februari 2007 |
