| Web Interface 4.5 first impression |

After downloading the demo edition of Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 I was first curious what they changed in the web interface. After setting up the presentation server I emediatly configured a web interface and was already suprised....
They changed a lot, were in presentation server 4.0 we were used at wwwroot\citrix\metaframe with all folders under it. At figure 1 you can see the familiar folder structure like we are used to it in presentation server 4.0 , at figure 2 you can see the new folder structure Figure 1
Now for people like Thomas Koetzing , Jason Conger and many others doing an excelent job figuring out all and implement new features like info center (koetzing) or even a complete new design (conger) this will be a strugle again to get all the code working again. Figure 2
Well we have setup the new interface and made some screenies. Look specially at the streaming part and ASC integration part. At figure 3 all is the same as wi4.2 but now the interesting stuf apears at figure 4 Figure 3

So this would be the new streaming media Citrix promised us but were I already wrote they need a lot of working to do on the streaming part because Softgrid simply is better at the moment and as we know aquired by Microsoft. Figure 4

Citrix also thought let's make life less easie for those who manage the servers and change the way entirly how to manage the interfaces. We at datacrash are still exploring in the little spair time that we have how things work and will come back later in time with a more detailed report and also a howto setup WI4.5 ofcourse.
