Last week I (aka EkilErif) joined the Datacrash.net team. As the newest member of the DataCrash.net team, I took it upon myself to write a brief introduction letting you know who I am and what I am about! I started in IT in 2002 as a PC Support technician in South Africa. Soon after starting I was moved on to the Helpdesk team and from there on to the Server team. My primary responsibilities included Citrix Administration for a small server farm, Administration of a small Terminal Server farm, Active directory and general Windows Server administration! I worked with them for 4 years before deciding to move to England! Since moving to England I have started working for much larger scale companies. Currently I administer 40 + Citrix Servers, several domain controllers, file servers, print servers, and sql servers. In total there are close on 300 servers which myself and 2 other colleagues administer. I’ve also gained experience in JDEdwards OneWorld System Administration, Formscape Administration, Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange Administration. I am currently on MCP (Windows 2000 Server) and CCA (MetaFrame XPe and Presentation Server 3) certified but plan on expanding to Presentation Server 4 and CCEA by the end of the year. For fun I play cricket, indoor and out, enjoy watching Formula 1 racing and going out clubbing. I’m also a pretty decent counter strike player and can often be found on UK and French servers going as the alias “No Excuses”. I am an active member on the Brianmadden.com forum where you will see numerous posts by me. My alias on here is EkilErif.
I would like to thank the Datacrash team for giving me the opportunity of joining the team and see this as the start to a long healthy relationship. |
