In the past, Getronics aquired the ICT company WANG thus becoming a global player. Recently, Getronics took over PinkRoccade and have changed their name to Getronics Pinkroccade in The Netherlands and the UK, while worldwide retaining the name Getronics. 
KPN offer 6.25 euro per share and, to my knowlegde, the board of Getronics is willing to back it up. Last year, there had already been negotiations between KPN and Getronics but without succes. More recently, Getronics have been negotiating with a American investment group but that also went down the drain. We are curious as to wether this time the takeover will be completed. The KPN offer is almost 25% higher then the current value of the Getronic share (currently at 5.10 euro). The news did not hit us like a bomb though because of the constant rumours going on about a takeover of Getronics.

Update 11 sep 2007.

KPN has made the offer official. They will  aquire Getronics PinkRoccade if they get 80% of the shares. Shareholders can offer there shares to KPN from 12 September untill 12 Oktober 2007.  KPN holds as we speak 29.9% of the total shares at the moment. At 80% they will take over Getronics PinkRoccade
