To be perfectly honest, I've got no problems with my Vista. Performance is good, shut down speeds are good. Fair enough I dont use bitlocker, YET!

The gripe I have with it is that the lack of the so called added features you get with Ultimate! I knows it been spoken about quite a bit recently but seriously, I currently have 3 Ultimate extras available....

1. Hold em poker
2. Bitlocker
3. Dreamscene

Yeah yeah I know... Ultimate comes with Aero, etc etc but those were listed as standard features with the OS....

Oh well.... lemme stop moaning. Good find Martjin, will be interesting to see what else the client team comes up with.

I am curios if they resolve bugs or introduce bugs like so many service packs they have introduced problems were solved but other problems were created. Let's hope they don't do a earlie relaese cause of the presure, that would mean they don't check it the right way.

Thats always been something Microsoft is famous for... application working pre service pack and not afterwards. Such a pain.

Vista is very slooooow by my standards. I've considered moving back to XP numerous times, but somehow I keep thinking that I need to force myself to stay on the new OSs for the experiences.

Heya Shawn, Nice to see you read Datacrash too! Thanks a lot!

Yeah I thought quite often about switching back to XP as well and also just force myself to stick with Vista! I do think it is a little better than XP we all just know XP so much better that Vista takes us a little longer to do stuff.... initially!

Cheers

Mutsje - return to XP? Super Administrator | 2007-07-22 13:17:41
I am more thinking of returning to Windows XP to gain better performance from my computer. Vista is nice but with all the goodies features etc they implemented which are in my opinion totally not needed they slow down a computer dramaticly. You need to tweak the computer to gain good performance or buy a expensive one with the latest hardware on board.
