Ever investigated how much time your employer spends on the internet surfing. Not for the company but privatly? Browsing sites that really aren't suited for under 18 etc. You can place a proxy server and block many earls and contect but if this is not configured the right way most employers will quickly find a way around it.
A dutch company named Mostware sells a product called SurfPerfect which is a hardware solution to filter content, websites etc. You can't work around it cause all internet traffic goes through this box so it's pretty save. Also you can easily make adjustments by simply adding urls for blocking or adding urls for allowing. A investigation by Gartner proved that employers spend much time while working on the internet browsing privatly. The site is completely in dutch, I don't know if they are building a english site but maybe if it grows they will who knows? For more information www.surfperfect.nl |
