Today McM and I were talking on msn while he suddenly asked me "do you know the tool The Dude". I never heard of it and rapidly got a url to this tool. The Dude is a networkinventory tool that scans your entire network for routers, ap's and much more. The best news is it's free of charge. It will do the following things for you. Automaticly scan all devices within specified subnets, draw and layout a map of your networks, monitor services of your devices and alert you in case some service has problems. The good thing is you can save your network to pdf or jpg so ideal for creating documentation. Go to The Dude |
