Vmware launches the Thinstall Application suite |

Vmware aquired begin this year Thinstall. Now they are launching there first product with Thinstall integrated into it. At Vmware they call it VMWare ThinApp.
Of course VMware hopes they can now compete with Citrix who already has Xenserver, Xendesktop, and lot's more of Xen stuf :) the way it works is simular to the way you install all on xenserver, all is virtual..doh. well that is there credo at Vmware :) 
It looks a lot like the software that Citrix is also developing like Xendesktop. Will Vmware be able to keep there head above the water or will they loose this battle. We really don't know but it's good to see that Vmware is striking back with there own way of application / desktop delivery. Having only Microsoft or Citrix is not really a choice. These two companies already work together developing xenserver and more products. Let's see how this new Vmware product will performe, we are curious about it. Direct link to vmware Thinapp |
